Packaging of PCB & PCBA
When packaging for printed circuit board (PCB) & printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), what we consider is not only protection from physical damage, but also maintenance of stable performance.
The common 4 packaging methods of PCB & PCBA are as follow.
- Vacuum packaging
PCBs are packed by vacuator, which protects PCBs from damp, oxidation and other pollution.
- Bubble wrap Packaging
Such kind of bubble warp with anti-static and buffer function can give our PCB & PCBA good protection.
- Anti-static bag packing
The bags with anti-static coating or material can protect PCBs from static electricity. And then PCBs are wrapped with foam to be pack in a box.
- Foam packing
Such kinds of packaging method are usually custom for PCBA. It provide a certain of physical protection, preventing PCBAs from extrusion and collision, which will keep components save.
- Plastic seal tray packaging
It is also a kind of bespoke packaging solution for PCBA. Place PCBAs on the plastic tray, then tie them up or cover a protective case, which provides cushioning effect.
In conclusion, anti-collision, anti-fouling, anti-static must be considered when we pack PCBs or PCBAs
