There are two common welding processes, reflow welding and wave soldering, used in electronics manufacturing.
Reflow soldering is a technique for welding SMD components by remelting the solder paste pre-allocated to the pad of a printed circuit board.
Advantages:
- Suitable for high precision, high density printed circuit board welding.
- Can realize automatic production, and improve production efficiency.
- High welding quality.
As per wave soldering, the welding surface of the plug-in plate is directly in contact with high temperature liquid tin for welding purposes.
Advantages:
- Large number of plug-in components can be welded quickly.
- The cost is relatively low.
In actual production, according to the needs and characteristics of the product, choose the appropriate welding process. Sometimes a combination of these two welding methods is used.
